Grand Bahama’s annual Junior Junkanoo returned with a spectacular showcase of youth talent and tradition, electrifying Freeport with rhythm, colour, and spirited performance. The much-anticipated parade highlighted the next generation of Junkanoo artists, as primary and high school groups brought creativity and precision to the streets.
In the high school division, St. George’s High School claimed victory with an impressive routine that fused dynamic choreography and bold costume design, earning strong applause from judges and fans alike. Their performance celebrated Bahamian heritage with energy that belied their youth.
In the primary school division, Bartlett Hill Primary School emerged as the champion, enchanting the crowd with lively beats and a vibrant theme that perfectly captured the festival’s spirit.
Beyond the trophies, the event was a testament to teamwork, community support, and cultural pride lifting voices and spirits and reminding everyone that Junkanoo’s heart beats strongest in the Bahamian youth.
