Mariah the Scientist’s Hearts Sold Separately is a tender, introspective dive into love’s highs and heartbreaks. Across ten tracks, she pairs dreamy ‘80s-inspired R&B production with vulnerable, confessional lyrics, creating a sound that’s both nostalgic and modern.

Standouts like Burning Blue and the sultry Is It a Crime (featuring Kali Uchis) showcase her emotional range and lyrical honesty. Minimalist production lets Mariah’s voice shine, turning each song into a deeply personal story about longing, resilience, and love’s battles.

Hearts Sold Separately is proof that Mariah isn’t just an R&B singer she’s a storyteller whose music lingers long after the final note.
