Sunsets, Seafood and Summer Vibes… Oceans Blue Didn’t Miss!

Last week, I checked out the newly renovated Oceans Blue Restaurant at the Ocean Reef Yacht Club and whew… the vibes were unmatched. It’s giving luxury without completely destroying your wallet and honestly, this is something Grand Bahama really needed.

First things first: the drinks. Their specialty cocktail menu had some really solid options, but the Sunrise Mimosa? Absolutely top tier. Refreshing, pretty, and dangerously easy to drink.

Now let’s get into the food because THAT is where Oceans Blue really showed out.

The Lemon Pepper Calamari with jalapeño aioli was easily my favorite appetizer of the night. The calamari was tender, the coating had the right amount of crunch and flavor, and that spicy aioli tied everything together so well. Every bite was a hit.

Next up was the Red Snapper Burger and trust me on this one: put the coleslaw ON the burger instead of eating it on the side. You’ll thank me later! The snapper was fresh, well-seasoned, and paired with homemade fries that were crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with love.

And finally… the Rack of Lamb.

Babyyyyyy. Oceans Blue absolutely delivered with this dish. The medium-well lamb was juicy and flavorful, paired with a rich red wine reduction sauce that elevated the entire plate. Add in the creamy homemade mashed potatoes with spinach folded throughout and the well-seasoned vegetables, and honestly? I’m still thinking about it as I write this review reminiscing on the first time it touched my tastebuds.

Overall, the renovations to the restaurant and the menu were definitely a success, and Oceans Blue deserves a spot on your “must-visit” list this summer. Keep in mind that the indoor area is still undergoing some finishing touches, but the outdoor setup, ocean breeze, and marina views more than make up for it. Plus, if the heat gets to you… there’s literally a pool right there waiting for you to jump in with a frozen daiquiri in hand.

I’ll definitely be back soon to check out their new Thursday sushi specials — and of course, let yall know what that saying!
