It’s been in the Tik Toks, the Reels, the Stories, even played at the Independence Day Junkanoo Parade. Everywhere you are, you can hear this song, especially during the Independence Season. But Saucegod242 (as he’s also called) is very right, does Trump them think I’m homeless bey?
There’s no place like my home. There’s no place like our home. I love the message of this song. It’s a feeling that all of us know well, even if the most time you’ve spent away from home is a weekend shopping trip to Miami. We miss our Johnny cake, we miss our grammy, we miss the things that can only be found in The Bahamas.
Independence season is always a great time for Bahamian music, we get major anthems that unite Bahamians, and are sung anywhere our Bahamian diaspora can be found.
