From Waste, We Create: GB’s Young Artists Shine

The MOSAIC Art Hub hosted the inaugural From Waste, We Create award ceremony and eco art exhibition, a celebration of the island’s young eco artists and their imagination. For one evening, the space transformed into a gallery where discarded materials were reborn as art.
The pieces spoke for themselves. A flamingo and a sea turtle brought to life through color, texture, and intricate handwork, each one a reminder that creativity and sustainability belong in the same sentence.

The night built toward the moment everyone came for: the grand prize winner announcement and prize presentation, spotlighting the standout talent among Grand Bahama’s next generation of creatives.
None of it happens alone. The exhibition came together with support from generous sponsors including the Grand Bahama Port Authority, Xquisite, Lucayan Adventure Tours, BWA Freeport, McVitie’s, and Svitzer, proving the community is ready to back its young artists.
For a first run, From Waste, We Create set a high bar. It turned environmental awareness into something you could see, touch, and celebrate. We cannot wait to see what year two creates.
