Jazz Chisholm started 2026 looking like a completely different player. Dropped in the batting order. Struggling at the plate. The numbers were not pretty and everybody noticed.
Then something clicked.
Over his last 12 games the Bahamian second baseman has been on a completely different level. The highlight came against Texas when he stepped up in the sixth inning, locked in on a 98 mph fastball from Jacob deGrom, and sent it 413 feet into the right-center field seats for a tiebreaking home run.
He stood there for a second. Watched it fly. Then threw his bat in the air.
“Finally,” he said after. “It’s about time. I’ve been waiting on it, working on it.”
The Yankees are currently rolling with one of the best records in baseball and Jazz is a big reason why. Our boy is back and locked in.
