The 31st All Andros Regatta Delivered

Every summer, somebody says regatta season fading. Then Morgan’s Bluff opens up and proves everybody wrong.
The 31st All Andros Regatta ran July 9 through 12 at Alphonso Smith Regatta Village, and the lineup alone told you what kind of weekend it was gonna be. D-Mac. Jonny Cake. Niah J. Mamma Dee. Nishie L.S. Shine 242. Blaudy. Karrington McKenzie. That’s not a small island event. That’s a full production.

Here’s what people miss about regatta though. The music is the pull, but the sailing is the point. Boats on the water from ten to five, crews repping their settlements, families lining the beach watching sloops built by hand cut across the blue. That’s culture happening in real time, not culture in a museum.

Andros understands something the rest of us keep relearning. You don’t have to move to Nassau for the vibe to find you. Skippers Party Thursday. Walkathon Friday morning before the sun get serious. Abaco invading the beach party Saturday. Family day Sunday with kiddie corner, food vendors, and craft tables. Four days, one community, zero need for a passport.

Regatta season isn’t nostalgia. It’s the blueprint. Andros just keeps proving it.
