After the death of her sibling a young woman tries to get a fresh start at an elite foreign school. As she gets caught in a love triangle between two friends, she learns that things may not be what they seem as secrets come to light when hidden truths emerge.
Love Me, Love Me is a movie that is the perfect example of disposable media with cheap romance movies cliches stitched together to make a Frankenstein’s monster facsimile of a romantic drama where everyone involved is unlikable with toxic traits that make all the characters seem vapid and soulless inwardly ugly caricatures in expensive looking clothing and makeup. This particular director seems to know that this is just the Temu version of Beautiful Disaster from 2023 and to be honest Roger Kumble did better on the two episodes of Manchester Prep which became Cruel Intentions 2 in 2000. The screenplay by Veronica Galli & Serena Tateo based on the book by Stefania S. is laughable in all the wrong ways as it is the very definition of cringe which makes me feel sorry for anyone who read the source material voluntarily. The cast is very punchable in all their pouty glory with problems that prove that hurt people hurt people but toxic people get what they have coming as they spread their shallow views and selfish childishness to everyone in their vicinity that makes you feel dumber for watching. There is a good chance this sequel will also get an adaptation which will only add to moral decay the impressionable youths consuming it in different languages. I rate this flick a rating of 1 & 1/2 out of 5.
